Just completed in May 2008, this project had high visual design standards yet needed to comply with strict XHTML standards. This site uses the Drupal open source Content Management System, offering clear, easy to manage site but with a wealth of flexibility and development potential over time.
ACT - The Association for Children with Terminal Illness
This project initially started as a redesign of a static site but it was soon clear that a Content Managment System was most appropriate for the needs of this charity. Joomla, the Open Source CMS, was chosen for this project. Custom search components and an Endnote database upload component were created in the development process.
Hargreaves Lansdown
This was developed using an open source template system known as smarty by a 5 strong team of developers. It involved complex processing of financial data from a variety of different sources plus the content management aspect of the site. This was a massive project to migrate from the old classic ASP site.
HHEAG - Hartcliffe Health & Environment Action Group
This was a small project with a small budget for a local charity, using a PHP based Open Source content management system, CMSimple. To reduce costs further, greatbear were able to offer reduced cost hosting on their own servers running GNU/Linux.
This site for Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the beautiful scottish village of Applecross is a customised Open Source content management system using the blogging system,
Wordpress. This site validates to XHTML Transitional, has a good level of accessibility and is proudly hosted on our servers.

Written originally using classic ASP and MSSQL this e-commerce site generates over £5000 a week. This site is currently migrating from classic ASP to ASP.NET

This is an A3 poster for the Bristol based but national charity, ACT - The Association for Children’s Palliative Care.

This is an A4 poster for a Bath based birthing pool hire company, Born in Water. This was part of a campaign that included a similar leaflet, widely circulated around the South West.

This is an A1 poster that was developed from an earlier flyer designed for a Bristol based Feldenkrais practitioner.

This is a magazine ad and part of a range of distinctive marketing materials for Healing Through Massage, a Devon based massage therapist. The design has been adapted for leaflets, business cards, posters and other stationary.
